It is easy to identify a tree if you can see its fruit. A thorn tree cannot produce grapes. A good tree does not produce bad fruit and a bad tree does not produce good fruit. These principles are explained in Matthew 5: 15-20.
If we apply the fruit tree principle to God we can learn what he is like by looking at the fruit he produces. In Galations 5: 22-23 we read: “But the Holy Spirit (i.e. God) produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
